The Om Moms proudly offers pregnancy and birth preparation yoga classes both in person (in Dubai) and online livestream and OM Demand worldwide. This is a prenatal yoga class for ALL trimesters as all postures are safe for you and your growing bump. Join in trimester one if you are already physically active and for all moms it is safe up until birth. All bump sizes and yogi abilities welcome! 

Pregnancy is a busy time I mean your just rocking around doing your usual stuff like work, seeing friends, doing family stuff and your growing a tiny human being. Well done Mom! So don’t beat yourself up if your tired no wonder but one thing I will say is don’t use that tiredness as an excuse to do nothing. Yes nap but make the most of awake time, be proactive and be active. Did you know that yoga can actually relive tiredness as it increase the hormone cortisol. Low levels of cortisol can zap your energy leaving you feeling more Netflix and ice cream rather than going for a jog but enjoying a regular yoga practice will help you maintain healthy cortisol levels.
And yoga is not just about pulling shapes on a mat (and defiantly less shapes the more pregnant your become!) but it is about the breath and the mind too. Two very important things when it comes to happy healthy birthing. Focused breathing with long slow exhalations calms the nervous system which helps the body trigger comforting hormones including oxytocin which is essential in childbirth to progress. So voila you have answered your own question in how can I birth easily and less painfully. Breathe. But focused controlled breathing takes practice so start early and practice daily in pregnancy. This is non negotiable.
And the mind well when the mind is relaxed and this can be done by listening to calming positive audios it sends signals to the body and the body relaxes too releasing tension (and trust me a tense body is not one that happily gives birth) Where the mind leads the body follows.

The Om Moms pre-natal yoga classes are gentle and safe for all women, whether you are brand new to yoga or have years of practice when you need to slow down in pregnancy. At The Om Moms, I shine a light on the myths of pregnancy and birth, fill you with confidence and options and empower you to become that Goddess with a bump.

For all pregnancy yoga classes in person or online please wear comfy clothes and optional have something cosy for relaxation, a light cover and a cushion. You will need your mat, some water to hydrate and any questions your have on pregnancy and birth.  Please note all classes and packages must be pre booked.

Bonding with baby and preparing for Motherhood. How do I bond with my baby, am I really bonding with my baby?

Ideas on what to do in pregnancy to connect and to prepare yourself to be that Om Mom. Yoga poses which work with your baby helping them into a comfortable (and optimal birthing) position. Postures and breathing to calm the mind to make you Om, mom. A beautiful, guided relaxation to help you go inside and bond with your baby. This class will help you feel the connection together and add that sprinkle of pregnancy joy.

Emotional balance versus physical balance. Why are my emotions so up and down and why do I feel like I’m all over the place (physically and mentally!)

Help your posture and balance in this class whilst connecting with the mind and the body. Here we also practice breathing for birth itself preparing you mentally which in turn relaxes the body. Comfort during birth. How will I get through the birthing experience? From early labour to breathing your baby down.

Working with the breath for birth and postures to help enhance a natural quicker labour This class will help you understand postures that will prepare the body, open the body and the pelvis during early and active labour and comfortable positions to breath a baby down (whilst working with that all important thing gravity!) The Big day itself. What can we prepare in advance to be ready physically and mentally?

These four weeks are all about enjoying pregnancy, getting fit and flexible, building strength and stamina and getting ready for Birth.
